What is Needle felting?
Sculptural needle felting is fun and easy to learn. It is a popular craft in which wool fleece can be made into a 3D object with the help of special barbed needles. You can create many beautiful (and soft and warm!) objects using simple techniques—from jewelry and home decor to toys and dolls.
NEEDLE FELTING workshop: how it works?
The one-session workshop usually lasts two hours. It includes a brief lecture about the use and purpose of various needles, the quality of wool, and techniques for building the forms and making features. Then, I give a quick demonstration, and the students proceed to their own projects.
After the workshop you will take home your wonderful creation AND a complementary felting kit with your needle, some wool samples for your experimenting at home and a brief needle felting guide to help you create even more.
- Minimal group size: 3 participants, limited to 6.
- Individual participants: single 2-hour workshop: $45 per person
- Family/friends: $70 for two people, $90 for three people
